  • The new insulin-growth factor-like gene family consists of four proteins in humans (hIGFL1 to 4) and one in mice (mIGFL).
  • mIGFL is expressed in normal skin and upregulated during inflammation.
  • hIGFL1 expression is increased in human psoriatic skin.
  • mIGFL and hIGFL1/-3 interact specifically and with high affinity to IGFLR1, a new TNFR Family Member.
  • IGFLR1 potentially exerts regulatory functions on T cell responses.
